If you are like any other person that’s been in a great relationship, you understand how important it is to keep a hold of the loved ones that enter your life. Maybe something has happened and you have separated. I know the feeling is intense and it seems like you will never get over your ex. The important thing to remember is that if you want to get back with them there are certain things you must keep in mind and some things you must avoid. Here’s a list of 3 things I tell all my dating clients.
1. If you want them back, you must let them go.
Now hold on, I understand this isn’t what you are wanting to hear, but there is a certain relationship psychology you must put into place if you want to have them crawling back to you. When I say to let them go, what i’m saying is to not continually badger them into explaining their actions of why they broke up with you. The best thing to do is to give them their space and let them have time to sort out their thoughts. Most of the time they will sit back and realize that there actually was something there and will often times contact YOU. There are certain things you must know about when they contact you but that is for another article.
2. Find out why they left and come up with a reasonable solution to the problem.
With them gone, you will have plenty of time to think about what went wrong. The easy part is getting them to come back, while the harder part is resolving the issue that caused the breakup in the first place. It will take two to make things better but it’s important to be prepared with an action plan on how you are going to make the relationship better so that you won’t be in the same situation weeks or months down the road.
3. Show them that you are just fine!
This is a very important step. Just seeing you doing fine will get them wondering why you aren’t more upset about the situation. It’s human nature to want what you cannot have, therefore the reverse psychology is important in getting your ex in this mindset.
Remember that the key here is to not look desperate. The less desperate you appear the easier it will be to have them crawling back to you giving you the next step in rekindling the relationship!
