While maintaining silence, get out and do things! Don’t sit at home and wallow. Get out with friends you may not have been seeing as often, workout, do things to get your mind off the situation. Don’t let the breakup be a huge hit to your self esteem.
After a few weeks, if you still want to get back together with your ex, and they haven’t contacted you, send a simple email or text saying you have changed. Look at the step covered in number one. Don’t force the issue, but let your ex know you would like to talk things out now that you both have had time to think things out.
